Becoming a Member

Becoming a member is easy, once you have decided that you would like to join us simply telephone to make an appointment, ask your social worker/Carer to make a referral on your behalf to the Age Activity Centre or alternatively if you are passing by, you can drop in and  pay us a visit, although we would prefer you made a prior appointment.
Once you have visited us, we will give you a tour of the centre and you will have to undergo a simple interview so that we can properly assess your needs. Following your interview and provided all goes well, we will invite you to become a member.

Referrals
There are many ways in which you may be referred to the Centre (i.e. friends, family member, doctor etc). However if your referral to the Centre comes via your Social Worker or Health Carer, we will need to make a special appointment to interview you at home so that we can properly assess your needs. We may also require your social worker/Carer to provide relevant case histories or other background information that will be useful in helping us to assess your needs. Once we have interviewed you, your case will be processed and all relevant information will be reviewed by the Managing Director who will then decide whether or not becoming a member of the Age Activity Centre will be the best option for everyone concerned.
